![]() introductionPublic House Ceili Band presents straight-ahead traditional Irish dance music. After years of playing together every week at the local Irish music session at Mickey's Tavern in Madison, Wisconsin, these four musicians took their act on the road. They played from 1996 through 2007 for outdoor festivals (especially the Milwaukee Irish Fest), indoor concerts – and above all for dances around the upper Midwest. Their extensive repertoire and mastery of style and technique generate a high-energy rhythm that elevates ceili dances and set dances to a genuine experience of craic. From Milwaukee to Madison to Moline, their jigs, reels, slides, polkas, and hornpipes have moved the feet of the Midwest's finest Irish dancers. Dance to our CD! Our album, Go Figure, is still available for sale right here.
